Andrew Tarantola Rails on Anonymous over trojan software
With the world coming to the internet, anonymous is getting subjugated to the view that they are a bunch of underground nerds that throw "online tantrums" through their DDoS attacks. Andrew Tarantola, in this article on Gizmodo just pushes that agenda more.
The sad thing is that anyone anywhere will report on news simply to push out another story and gain some notoriety. Seeing a story about a trojanned anonymous software, Mr. Tarantola decides to jump the gun with some crazy assumptions:
First off, anyone anywhere can inject an executable with a virus. The fact is, whoever started handing out the hijacked-version of 'Slowloris' saw the initiative to gain another set of hosts with their trojan. It may or may not have been an anonymous "member."
Secondly, there are no anonymous "members." Anonymous is a collective of people that has grown over the years. Think about it in the same sense as Pandora. Anyone can use Pandora to listen to music. Likewise, anyone can use Slowloris or LOIC to participate in anonymous's notorious activities.
Third and last of all: "online banking and email credentials stolen" is basically the polite way of saying they had complete access to their system. In that sense, it is far more likely that these hackers were after user accounts and email accounts and not so much bank accounts. It is far easier to steal a Steam account and sell it off than hijack a bank account and take it for what its worth.
The last part about this article cracks me up. Mr. Tarantola takes the highground with his limited view on what happened, which, in his defense, will appeal to the idiots that read his article. However, common sense overturns the fact with the knowledge that most of these participants in anonymous attacks are more computer-saavy than your average Facebook retard.
Should you find this, Mr. Tarantola, I would suggest sticking to the actual site-hacked stories that you've had some articles about. Not this.

- Click generate.
- Paste the resulting number in the IMEI box on the Samsung page and click "adicionar produto" to attempt to add the number.
- It will add the device, IMEI, and a red minus sign in the area below the entry form if the number was accepted.
- If the IMEI was not accepted and the device was not added, go back to the IMEI generator page and increase the serial number by one. Repeat submission until it is accepted.
- Click the “avançar” button.
- On the next page, you will see a code under "Codigo Promocional". Copy that and paste it here (you may have to log in to Dropbox first): https://www.dropbox.com/coupon
- Your space should be instantly increased by 2GB!

What is Stanleyrr "Operation Moralfag" ?
Within 24 hours of the commencement of operation: moralfag, stanleyrr was already at 42,000 subscribers and nearly 200,000 hits. Hes at 46000 subs now with over +500,000 hits. Great job, Internet!
9gag, or "9fag" as members of 4chan call it, tried to take credit for this good deed, when it originated on 4chan, and from there spread to imgur, reddit, tumblr, and eventually 9gag.
Yet, in all the excitement, most people (i.e. facebook users and twittards) with their ignorance are seeing this as a surprise, an unlikely gesture from the 4chan haven; As if 4chan does not do good deeds. Simply not true and only shows the ignorance of people. Sure, some 12 year olds have felt the wrath of the internet Robin Hood for their selfish and narcissistic attitudes, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Let us not forget, it was anonymous who lead the brigade against US Copyright office website, RIAA, MPAA, and other sites during the MegaUpload takedown in January.
I am not surprised to see this come from 4chan, they have strength in numbers in any way they choose to channel it. It is nice to see their power used for good. We have yet to see a reaction from our friend Stanleyrr, but when it happens....

JDownloader Rapidshare "File Not Found" Workaround
This seems to be a recent issue for many JDownloader users. The current workaround is using Mipony downloader instead. Or wait for the JDownloader devs to release an update.
I was in the middle of getting a set of files and half of them went dead! Even though they are still active on Rapidshare.

Best workaround:
- Install Mipony
- Open Mipony after installing
- Open your JDownloader and select all the grayed out items for Rapidshare
- Right click and do "Copy URL (#)" - the number will be the # of links selected
- Mipony will automatically queue links from clipboard. Start Mipony and you're set!
